Talk: Timber, the only major industrialised plant-based building material, has the potential to make a real impact on some of the great challenges we face as a society in housing and the environment. With the wrong approach, it could make things worse. In this webinar Professor Luke Bisby and Dr Thomas Reynolds consider timber as a building material. Tom talks about his research in CNC fabricated timber structures and connections for large timber buildings, and Luke talks about his research on fire in timber buildings.
