Guest speakers: Dr Graham McGlashan, Partner and European and UK Patent Attorney at Marks & Clerk, and Professor Ivan Andonovic, Professor in Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Strathclyde University.

Graham provides the main part of IP webinar explaining how the IP system can be applied to protect technologies that are wholly or partly implemented digitally, including those embodied in software, that use artificial intelligence (AI) or generate valuable data. Ivan follows on to provide a short focus on his and his team’s experience in developing AI and gaining commercial adoption with spinouts Silent Herdsman and Lupovis. He discusses the costs of development, proof and validation of value proposition, perception and trust in AI hindering adoption, and ease of deployment.
