University of Edinburgh Venture Builder Incubator

Applications are now open.

Early Bird Applications are open! Apply by midnight on Monday 10 June to receive feedback and the chance to resubmit. The final deadline for applications is midnight on Monday 15 July.

The Venture Builder Incubator is perfect for PhD students, postgraduate research staff and recent alumni who are interested in building a startup based upon their data-driven research, idea or know-how.

This 5-month programme provides the framework - the skills, knowledge and networks - required to validate the commercial potential of disruptive ideas in all sectors.

Benefits include:

  • Sector-specific sessions - e.g. health and social care, solutions driven by robotics and autonomous systems

Eligibility

Postgraduate students, researchers and academic staff, as well as recent alumni of the University of Edinburgh are welcome to apply with ideas in all sectors with a digital or science-based component be it software or hardware.

Support for Health and Social Care Innovations

Thanks to our ongoing partnership with Cancer Research Horizons, and additional funding from Barclays Eagle Labs Ecosystem Partnership Programme, funded by UK Government, applications are welcome from researchers from across the country with data-driven innovations focused on cancer and non-infectious health conditions to join the programme.
