Community Access to Rooms booking request

Community Access to Rooms is a project which opens some of the University of Edinburgh's spaces to local communities. The project allows community groups to book University rooms on a cost-free basis, in the evenings and weekends.

Important considerations 

We aim to accommodate room requests with as much notice as possible, subject to space availability. Please note that requests made with less than 48 hours' notice cannot be fulfilled. Recurring bookings are welcome, and we can usually confirm these up to 3 months in advance. 

• First come, first served: Booking requests are handled in the order they are received. 
• Response time: We will respond to your booking request within 5 working days, so please make sure to complete your request well in advance. 
• Availability: There may be reduced availability during certain times of the year, especially during teaching holidays. During summer weekdays, Paterson’s Land is the only building open. Please also note that no rooms are available during the winter break. 
• Room use: Rooms are provided "as is", and we are unable to offer event support such as setup or technical assistance. Please plan accordingly.
